House Tour of the Belhaven Inn

History:
A private residence for almost a century, this Victorian styled house was built by Sea Captain Betz for his daughter.

It made room accommodations for wives of American serviceman during WWII. Today the inn is furnished in fine antiques with a nautical flare from Karen's grandfather, Captain Hans Bruun, who sailed from Norway to America.

Sailing the Intracoastal Waterway brought Karen to Belhaven in 1990 when the inn was started with the idea of meeting people from land and sea. Today, 13 years later, we have fond memories of all our visitors.

Where the Caribbean meets the Pungo! Pink and green coloring of the islands await your stay in this spacious room with large private bath. Included full size crib and in-room refrigerator. Sleeps 4.

The Nautical Room below:

Decorated in nautical motif for our water loving friends who want a square bed and a square meal. Private bath with the original claw foot bath tub. Sleeps 4.

First Floor Suite:
Large bedroom with 1st floor access. Five large wrap around windows. Step back in time with antiques while enjoying the modern conveniences. Private large bath. Sleeps 4.

Parlor:

Our large parlor and dining area offers comfort for those who like to play chess, piano and organ, listen to music or just to relax.

Dining Room:

In the morning awake to the aroma of homemade breads and pastry and freshly brewed coffee or tea. You will be served a full breakfast and will not go away hungry! Special dietary needs will be accommodated.
